just like a family! :)

So many beautiful stories to share from the Karma Kitchen experiment in Vadodara. Few posts on the moments, experiences and expressions in this week!

When we were decorating the outside space where we were hosting Karma Kitchen, the watchman walked to us and told us he has never seen someone beautifying the corporate space before. He said, he believed such things happen only when there is a wedding in the family or in the temples. First time it felt like a temple and a family coming together and he dint feel like a security guard and more like a person taking care of his family!
I was like "Wow! This is just the start!"

The Connectivity:Emotions & Business

Generally I am not a person who watches television forget about daily soaps. But yes my mumma does watch many of them! I was having my dinner and mumma was watching this soap and I was seriously touched the way they have depicted the emotions that anyone gets attached to that girl and the incidents shown in.

It’s a story of child bride Anandi from the threshold of childhood to womanhood. She gets married early and has to leave her childhood place and go to all together a different to live as a wife of another same boy named Jagdish. They have shown the innocence of children on different issues very beautifully. The ‘Balika Vadhu’(name of the soap) very sensitively portrays the plight of children who are unwittingly forced into marriage, in the name of tradition, and have to bear the consequences for the rest of their lives.

From the TRP point- It gets instantly connected with the women. Flavoured with all the emotional aspects needed to generate interest and make everyone cry (I have seen people crying and getting very much attached to this daily soaps). Also a perfect timing in terms of television industry as everyone is tired of Ekta Kapoor Saas-Bahu series gets a new reason to get connected and cry and make hue of things.
Also I know this is a daily soap it is meant for entertainment but unfortunately, sadly its true state of situation prevailing…Yes! Prevailing in India….. Yes it does in rural areas and even urban areas too!
The question is why? Why? Why?
Where is the end to all this? Where ?
