Have you gone to any slum area near to your house or somewhere?
Highly populated area, dirty, filthy, stinking etc....adjectives keep on adding up as soon as someone talks about slum....
Going to a slum without any reason is never a kind of idea that comes up in our mind anytime....
What about hanging out with friends in a 'zonpadpatti' Naah!
Well then here's someone who has turned tis thought into a good business deal for himself...

A Britisher, Chris Way who, along with his Indian business partner Krishna Poojari, founded a tours and travels company which organizes slum tours(as you read it write!) which are largely about spectacularisation.
They organize tour to Dharavi called Dharavi walk( Dharavi is the Asia's biggest slum area situated in Mumbai which has more than a million residents!!!!)
There are lots of visitors amongst which more are from foreign lands who are amused on seeing this sight.
And yes this guys make this trips not to highlight the poverty of the country to others, But the creativity which the people living in this slum show !
Dharavi is like a city within the city!

There are more than 10,000 small-scale industries
(dont get unconcious on seeing the figure....Please!)
Dharavi Residents are generating an estimated annual turnover of 2660000000 Rupees!!!!!!!!

"What this shows is how despite the poverty, these people are able to be so productive,’’
With India becoming an important player on the global scene, perhaps it’s important for foreigners to see the other side of the picture: the badly paid lower-end workforce which is a prime part of the much rah-rahed Indian economy. For my part, I realised that there’s much more to India than its super-wealthy elite, plush hotels and fancy restaurants. Invisible India deserves far more international exposure than it gets; and slum tourism isn’t such a bad thing after all. isnt it?

Salute to them all! Bravo!
( Whats your take on this guys..?????)
