He was a young boy living in Kashi. The whole town was talking about a big leader's lecture. Everyone was praising him and lot of them showed faith in him. He was not able to meet him so he tried to get the contact details and wrote a letter to him with the questions he had. To his surprise he got a reply from that big national leader asking him to come to meet him as his questions couldnt be answered in brief.
He reached the place where the national leader was supposedly living. Someone came and inquired if he was the guest who had come from Kashi. He was amused and thought there must be someone else who was going to come from his town because he couldnt digest that a national leader of the country could possibly be waiting for him.
He had a perception of a very great national leader in his mind which he was carrying from Kashi. A person who was not easily available, with lots of security guards and dozens of servants at his service. The person who came to invite him took him to the house of the leader and pointed him towards the leader. He was shocked. He couldnt believe that how come a person who is a great national leader and who inspired his whole town be sitting in just a dhoti. Another thing which shocked him the most was he was sitting on the floor and cutting vegetables. He couldnt believe his eyes. He was still in a state of dilemma and shock to understand that person sitting in front of him. The great national leader who was cutting vegetables understood his shock and dilemma and looked at him.
Instead of explaining or removing his confusion the leader said that he could understand his confusion. The leader said in the most simplistic way the young guy had ever heard,
" I have another knife too. Come and help me cutting these vegetables."
The young guy was astonished to see this simplicity and now he understood what was so great about this national leader that not only his town but thewhole country was crazy about this half naked leader.
From that day on, he joined the movement led by this national leader without looking back for the freedom of his country.
