Virtual media has taken over to a lot of us. Most of the conversations happen there. You talk your life in and out everything there. But when you meet the same person in real he is someone else.
They both are just not the same.
Recently a friend of mine, in a conversation told me he was talking with some girl for a week and he met right in front of me and they were like, hello, hehe, smiles, some more smiles, no meeting of eyes at all and bye! That was all in the conversation.
I was like you were talking since a week so I am assuming atleast some 20,000 odd chat sentences filled with LOLs and this three emoticons at the max [ :D, ;), :P]
and in real, just a big mouth is shut.
I feel like in this age we have two tongues to speak - one is the tongue, tongue- the real tongue and other is the fingers. Fingers and brains are connected directly and they come out with words and you make a conversation.
I am not trying to put a right or wrong or a good or bad on the two - but I think people should try to reduce the drastic difference the two personalities which they have with the same person.
Ideally, one shouldn't even try to talk with random people if you don't know them well enough in person.
For me, when I chat online with someone it is very important that I can hear the words they write, if I can't do that, I can't chat much with them.
One other thing which I have started doing from quite some months now is I have come in touch with a lot of people over the period of time from when the facebook existed. Many from those I haven't been in touch with from long or it was just related to work... I delete them on their birthdays. A little rude, yes! but I think it is necessary.
for e.g. I started a conversation with a friend few days back to ask her how is she doing and whether she is engaged or not and she jumps on me saying she is 6 months pregnant.
Birthdays are the times the come right on my screen so that is easy way to delete them and the interesting part is none of the people whom I have deleted have sent me a friend request again - meaning- they dint even know I existed in their list!
I just felt writing something from the multiple personalities which I live and do some jibber jabber random writing! So this was that! :D
