to writing again!

It is so easy to write what you feel like when you know you are writing it for yourself and people who read it is just by accident.

But when you are told to write something so many times you write and rewrite and you still want to get it confirmed with your friends to know if it is perfect or not.

and this is what comes out of it!

and what made it truly beautiful were the pictures clicked by Narendra.

the way you eat

We had quite a couple of super energetic children from Vinoba Ashram who came to volunteer with us at the Karma Kitchen! I must say they brought in a lot of energy, chirpiness and a lot of smiles...
This children are not going to any school are being home schooled. I haven't seen so much energy, sharpness and clarity of thought with ofcourse a lot of madness in children from quite sometime.
When it was their turn to have dinner, they all sat together, prayed and started eating. I was serving and went with a tray of water and there came an echoing sound of three kids together who knew just the right way of eating food and told me that you can't have water during your meal. Not good!
Such consciousness, such education!

just like a family! :)

So many beautiful stories to share from the Karma Kitchen experiment in Vadodara. Few posts on the moments, experiences and expressions in this week!

When we were decorating the outside space where we were hosting Karma Kitchen, the watchman walked to us and told us he has never seen someone beautifying the corporate space before. He said, he believed such things happen only when there is a wedding in the family or in the temples. First time it felt like a temple and a family coming together and he dint feel like a security guard and more like a person taking care of his family!
I was like "Wow! This is just the start!"

Lumia Cow

After a long day, hell of driving on the outskirts of Vadodara, back home feels good.
Just a little outside Vadodara and a little inside those roads which take you towards villages, everything just changes.
Suddenly everything turns trustworthy, everyone so easy and direct to talk. You walk into a random house and ask for water or chaai and more than 90 percent of the time I bet you - the answer you will get is a YES.
Amazing it was.

Anyway, so when I was returning home and was about to open the door and I saw a cow. It was 12.30 am.
I presumed that she was lost and left behind the herd.Watchman had already closed the main doors so there was no chance she could get out.  I thought it will be taken care off by someone and I opened the lift and punched 4, floor for my home. There was continuous fight inside me which had already begun to whether go and help that cow or not. I opened the door of my home, kept all the stuff still thinking whether I should or shouldn't. Laziness was almost taking over when something inside me jaagofied and went down.
Went to the gate it was locked. Now ours is a freaking huge society, the biggest in Akota maybe. So went from watchman to watchman asking who has the keys to that particular door sitting on different crossroads inside the society.
Finally got the right guy, made him sit in the car. Opened the doors. Cow is out and immediately there were few other cows who I thinking were waiting for her outside started walking together towards her and then all of them together.

Thank you to the cow for letting me be of her service and do this good act which I would be dedicating it to my new phone I bought today.
Yes, (the show off moment) Nokia Lumia 820 it is.
LOL I know this post might not make any sense for those who might read it. ( I know many of you read it now considering so many reviews I am getting) but ya you know cow-good act-new things - good omen etc?? ;)
So ya!

a bird lover...

I got a call from my workshop, we had an injured pigeon in our space. It was almost closing time. If we kept it there, it would have definitely become some cat's dinner.
I reached the workshop, saw the pigeon... dint know exactly what to do but one thing.
Call Aakash.
Aakash is an amazing guy, an animal-bird lover in its true sense and completely dedicated to it.
When I called him, he had just reached home from college. Our workshop was atleast some 5-6 kms away...
I know the feeling of reaching home from a full tiring day at college and if someone tells you to go drive out for 5-6 kms.
He came to the workshop, saw the bird, checked and put it in the bag and took home for treatment.
Not more than 5 minutes but the efforts to reach to it and save a bird was highly commendable.

Respect!
